Mr. Amir Rostampour teaches General Psychology. Amir has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Masters of Science in Community Counseling, both from the University of Central Arkansas. Amir works full time at New Life Church as a pastor and part time at Restored Life Counseling as a therapist.
Amir is from Mustang, Oklahoma. He’s been married to his best friend Bethany for 3 years. They have a son named Dax and a dog, Reese. Amir loves spending time with his family and friends, playing sports, and serving within his church. “I have a passion to encourage, help, and develop people. I never thought I could be a professor but thankful this is a way God allows me to fulfill the passions he gave me.”
Dr. Quentin Washispack is a Conway resident and teaches in our Ministerial Leadership department. Dr. Washispack goes by the familiar name “Dr. Q” here at OBU at NLC and also is a pastor at New Life Church.
Dr. Q received his undergraduate degree in industrial Engineering at Louisiana State University. He went on to complete his Master of Theology at Dallas Theological Seminary as well as his Doctorate of Ministry.
Dr. Q enjoys deer hunting with his cross bow, muzzle loading and modern gun, he loves Tony’s Chachere’s Creole Seasoning on everything he heats and is a big LSU fan. “All four of my children have attended the University of Arkansas. My wife and I graduated from LSU so we have a house divided!”
Dr. Wyman Richardson is a North Little Rock resident and teaches in our Ministerial Leadership department. Dr. Richardson has a Bachelor of Arts in History that he earned at The University of South Carolina. He continued his education by completing a Master of Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Doctorate of Ministry at The Beeson Divinity School of Samford University.
“The earliest job I ever had was putting up tombstones that my Grandfather had sold. I’m a big Bob Dylan fan, and my cousin led Mickey Mantle to the Lord, (my cousin is Bobby Richardson, former NY Yankees 2nd baseman).”
Mrs. Lisette Washispack is a Conway resident and spouse to Dr. Quentin Washispack. She teaches in ou Business department and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Mrs. Washispack earned her undergraduate degree in Commercial Banking/Finance at Louisiana State University. She went on to receive her Master of Accountancy at University of Central Arkansas
Mrs. Washispack enjoys gardening, painting, sewing, reading, traveling with her family and church to China, cooking gumbo for her family and friends, and eating boiled crawfish every Mother’s Day.
Pastor Bryan Christian teaches in our Business department. Bryan is a Pastor at New Life Church and a practicing Attorney with his Bachelor of Arts in American English, Language, and Literature from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, partial Masters Degrees in Business and Technical Writing, and his Juris Doctorate from the William H. Bowen School of Law.
Bryan is originally from Oceanside California, raised in Jacksonville, AR, and serves as the General Counsel and Director of Human Resources for New Life Church.
Pastor Johnny Lewis teaches Music Appreciation. Pastor Lewis has an Associate of Arts in Music from Mississippi Gulf Coast Junior College, a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and a Master of Church Music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX.
Pastor Lewis grew up in a military family and has lived in many places. He moved to Conway in 1989 to serve as the worship pastor for Conway’s First Baptist Church. Prior to his service at CFBC, he served churches in Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas and Oregon. Pastor Lewis now serves a Pastor for Pastoral Care at New Life Church in Conway. He is married to Kathy and they have two sons.
Johnny is passionate about seeing others worshipping God with everything they’ve got. “I want people to be absolutely overwhelmed by the presence of God. I want them to understand the enormity of what Jesus did for them on the cross and that gratitude and worship is our response to the majesty and goodness of God.”
Mrs. Lindsay Burks teaches Concepts of Wellness. Mrs. Burks has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science, Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science with an emphasis in Dietetics, and a Master of Science in Family and Consumer Science with an emphasis in Dietetics. She earned all of her degrees at the University of Central Arkansas.
Mrs. Burks grew up in Hardy, Arkansas and moved to Conway in 2009. “I have a passion for holistic health and proper functional movement of the human body. I love Jesus, my husband (Aaron), and doing CrossFit.”
Mr. Tyler Tarver is the Director of Learning and Development for New Life Church. He has a wife named Amanda, and three kids with various names. He speaks at conferences across the state and nation on various topics related to teaching, administration, and technology. He has amassed over 10 million views on YouTube and 40,000 subscribers between his 2 channels.
He created and maintains TarverAcademy.com, where he helps students/teachers with math, tech, and an assortment of professional development needs. He's written 3 books and has been a teacher, facilitator, director, and principal. He has no relation to Denzel Washington.
